The evening fragrance
Mogra — Arabian jasmine — opens at dusk, which is why it has always been the evening flower in Indian homes: strung into gajra, floated in water, and burned as incense after sunset. It is fuller and sweeter than rose, and it carries further.
Traditionally it is associated with Vishnu and Krishna worship, and with Lakshmi.

How to use
- Light the tip, let it flame briefly, then blow the flame out so the tip glows.
- Use a holder with an ash tray.
- One stick is usually enough — mogra is stronger than chandan and carries further.
- Ventilate the room during and after burning.
Storage
Keep the pack closed in a cool, dry place. Jasmine is a volatile fragrance and fades quickly if left open.
A note on smoke
All incense and dhoop produce smoke and particulates. Burn in a ventilated room, avoid small closed spaces, and take care around anyone with asthma or a respiratory condition.
