Seva, not decoration
In households that keep Laddu Gopal, the murti is treated as a member of the family: woken, bathed, dressed, fed and put to rest each day. Changing the poshak is part of that daily seva — and by custom the dress is changed with the season and for festivals, lighter in summer, warmer in winter, new for Janmashtami.
What the set includes
- Poshak (dress) in traditional festive fabric
- Mukut (crown)
- Accessories for shringar
How to dress Thakur Ji
- Perform the abhishek first — the murti is bathed before being dressed.
- Dry gently with a soft, clean cloth kept only for this purpose.
- Dress in the poshak, then place the mukut.
- Apply chandan tilak, offer tulsi, flowers and the bhog.
- Handle the murti with washed hands, and keep the used poshak washed separately from household laundry.
Sizing
Laddu Gopal murtis are sold by numbered sizes, and poshak must match the murti. Measure your murti’s height before ordering, and contact us if you are unsure which size you need — a poshak that does not fit cannot be worn.
Ideal for
Daily Laddu Gopal seva, Janmashtami and Krishna Jayanti, Radha Ashtami, Nand Mahotsav, temple seva, and gifting to households that keep Thakur Ji.
