Why Lakshmi and Ganesh are worshipped together

At Diwali, Maa Lakshmi is invoked for prosperity and Lord Ganesha for the removal of obstacles — and tradition holds that wealth without wisdom does not stay. Ganesha is worshipped first in every puja; Lakshmi is installed beside him. Which is why the pair is bought together and installed together, rather than as two separate murtis.

Details

  • Solid brass, matched traditional finish across both idols
  • Classic seated forms — Lakshmi on the lotus, Ganesha in the seated posture
  • Stable bases for chowki sthapana
  • Permanent murtis, not immersed at visarjan

Placement for Diwali sthapana

  1. Set a chowki with red cloth in the north-east, facing north or east.
  2. Place Ganesha on Lakshmi’s right — that is, to your left as you face them. This is the traditional arrangement.
  3. Establish the kalash beside them with coconut and mango leaves.
  4. Perform Ganesh puja first, then Lakshmi puja, during the Lakshmi Puja muhurat.
  5. Keep the murtis in the mandir afterwards for daily worship — they are not immersed.

Caring for brass

  1. Wipe dry after each use to remove ghee, oil and camphor residue.
  2. Clean weekly with tamarind pulp, lemon and salt, or a mild brass cleaner.
  3. Dry fully before returning it to the mandir — trapped moisture causes spotting.
  4. Brass darkens naturally into a patina. Many households polish only before Diwali.

Ideal for

Diwali and Dhanteras puja, the home mandir, shop and office mandirs, Vyapar Vriddhi and wealth-attraction rituals, and griha pravesh, wedding and Diwali gifting.
