Diwali puja is one evening. There is no second attempt.

Lakshmi Puja on Amavasya night runs to a narrow muhurat, in a house full of guests, after a day of cleaning and cooking. It is the single busiest evening of the Hindu year and the worst possible moment to find the diyas short or the chunri missing.

This kit is packed for that evening specifically — the murtis, the kalash, the 21 diyas, the oil to fill them, and the bahi khata for the traditional accounts puja, all in one box.

How the Diwali puja runs

  1. Clean the home and draw a rangoli; fix the swastik stickers at the entrance.
  2. Set the chowki with red cloth and establish the Lakshmi-Ganesh murtis and the copper kalash.
  3. Take the sankalp during the Lakshmi Puja muhurat on Amavasya evening.
  4. Perform Ganesh puja first, then Lakshmi puja — tilak, akshat, flowers, chunri, the silver coin and naivedya.
  5. Perform the bahi khata puja, marking the new account book with swastik and shubh-labh.
  6. Light all 21 diyas with mustard oil and wicks, placing them at the entrance, windows and tulsi vrindavan.
  7. Close with camphor aarti and distribute prasad.

What to arrange separately

Fresh flowers and marigold torans, milk and curd, sweets and fruits for bhog, rangoli colours, and the havan kund are arranged locally on the day.

Order ahead

Diwali is the highest-demand week of the Indian retail year. Dispatch queues lengthen sharply from mid-October — order at least two weeks ahead of Lakshmi Puja.

All 43 items listed above, including a Lakshmi-Ganesh murti set, copper kalash, 500 ml gangajal, 21 clay diyas with 250 ml mustard oil and 50 cotton wicks, Lakshmi chunri, silver puja coin, bahi khata book, swastik sticker set, havan samagri, puja thali, bell and a Diwali vidhi booklet with sankalp sheet.

Yes, a Lakshmi-Ganesh murti set is included, so no separate idols need to be bought.

Fresh flowers and marigold torans, milk and curd, sweets and fruits for bhog, rangoli colours, and the havan kund. Everything from the samagri list is in the box.

Twenty-one is the traditional count for the puja itself and the main entrance, windows and tulsi vrindavan. Households that light the full terrace or boundary usually add a clay diya pack, which we sell separately.

On Amavasya evening during the Lakshmi Puja muhurat, which varies each year and by city. Confirm your local muhurat timing before taking the sankalp.

At least two weeks before Lakshmi Puja. Diwali is the busiest shipping week of the Indian year and courier timelines stretch through October.
