Diwali puja is one evening. There is no second attempt.

Lakshmi Puja on Amavasya night runs to a narrow muhurat, in a house full of guests, after a day of cleaning and cooking. It is the single busiest evening of the Hindu year and the worst possible moment to find the diyas short or the chunri missing.

This kit is packed for that evening specifically — the framed Lakshmi-Ganesh photo set, the kalash, the 11 diyas with their wicks, and the bahi khata for the traditional accounts puja, all in one box.

How the Diwali puja runs

1. Clean the home and draw a rangoli; fix the swastik stickers at the entrance.
2. Set the chowki with red cloth and establish the Lakshmi-Ganesh photo set and the reusable kalash.
3. Take the sankalp during the Lakshmi Puja muhurat on Amavasya evening.
4. Perform Ganesh puja first, then Lakshmi puja — tilak, akshat, flowers, chunri, the puja coin and naivedya.
5. Perform the bahi khata puja, marking the new account book with swastik and shubh-labh.
6. Light all 11 clay diyas with the cotton wicks and your own mustard oil, placing them at the entrance, windows and tulsi vrindavan.
7. Close with camphor aarti and distribute prasad.

What to arrange separately

Mustard or sesame oil for the diyas, fresh flowers and marigold torans, kheel and batasha, milk and curd, sweets and fruits for bhog, rangoli colours, and the havan kund are arranged locally on the day — they cannot be packed in advance. The enclosed fresh-items checklist sets out the full list.

Order ahead

Diwali is the highest-demand week of the Indian retail year. Dispatch queues lengthen sharply from mid-October — order at least two weeks ahead of Lakshmi Puja.
