Nav Grahon Ki Shanti, Jeevan Mein Santulan Aur Shubhata Ke Liye.
Navgrah Shanti is worship of the nine planetary deities in turn — Surya, Chandra, Mangal, Budh, Guru, Shukra, Shani, Rahu and Ketu — each with its own grain, its own wood for the fire, its own mantra and its own place in the arrangement. Nine separate acts of worship inside one ritual.
The Advik Rituals Navgrah Shanti Puja Kit carries 60 essentials for it — including a nine-pack graha grain set and a nine-wood navgrah samidha set, labelled per graha, plus kalash, kusha, a small havan kund and six printed guides. Curated in Kashi.
Nine Labelled Packs, Not Nine Anonymous Bags
This is the whole point of the kit, and it is where most navgraha boxes fail.
Ship nine unmarked packets and the acharya is opening bags at the altar trying to work out which is which, mid-ritual, in front of the family. Every grain pack and every samidha wood in this kit is labelled with the graha it belongs to. The included identification and offering guide sets out which offering goes to which planet and in what order.
It is an unglamorous piece of packaging. It is also the difference between a ritual that runs smoothly and one that stalls at the fire.

Which Grain Goes to Which Graha
The commonly followed associations are set out below. They are not uniform across traditions, and three in particular vary enough that we will not print a single answer:
| Graha | Commonly associated grain |
|---|---|
| Surya | Gehu (wheat) |
| Chandra | Chawal (rice) |
| Mangal | Masoor dal |
| Budh | Moong dal |
| Guru | Chana dal |
| Shukra | Varies by tradition — your acharya will direct |
| Shani | Kala til or urad dal |
| Rahu | Varies by ritual system — your acharya will direct |
| Ketu | Varies by tradition — your acharya will direct |
We would rather say "ask your acharya" three times than print a mapping that is wrong for your sampradaya. All ten individual grains are included in the box regardless, so whichever system he follows, the material is there.
The Havan Kund Nobody Includes
A Navgrah Shanti havan needs a fire, in a container, in a household that almost certainly does not own one. What happens otherwise is a steel thali, an improvised brick arrangement, or a borrowed kund that arrives after the muhurat has passed.
A small havan kund is included, with four gomay cakes, four cups, a wooden spoon and two matchboxes.
Navgrah Shanti or Grah Shanti — Which Kit?
Both kits serve navgraha worship and both carry a full havan. The difference is how the nine offerings arrive.
- Navgrah Shanti Puja Kit (this kit) — the nine grains and the nine samidha woods come as individually labelled per-graha packs, with an identification and offering guide. Built for a structured graha-by-graha puja where each planet is worshipped in turn.
- Grah Shanti Puja Kit — the same class of ritual with the grains supplied as bulk navdhanya and daal sets rather than labelled per-graha packs.
If your acharya is performing a formal graha-by-graha vidhi, the labelled packs will save real time at the altar.
The Puja Sequence
- Shuddhikaran. Purify the puja area and samagri with gangajal.
- Sankalp. Read the sankalp card, naming yourself, your gotra, rashi and the purpose of the puja.
- Ganesh puja. Worship Gauri-Ganesh first.
- Kalash sthapana. Establish the kalash with gangajal, supari and akshat, covered with the kalash cloth.
- Navgrah sthapana. Install the navgrah yantra or picture and arrange the nine offerings in their places.
- Individual graha puja. Worship Surya, Chandra, Mangal, Budh, Guru, Shukra, Shani, Rahu and Ketu in turn, each with its labelled grain, akshat, flowers and mantra.
- Navgrah mantra japa in the counts your acharya prescribes.
- Navgrah havan. Kindle the kund with gomay cakes and samidha. Offer the 250 g samagri, guggal, kala til, jau and each graha's samidha wood with its mantra.
- Aarti and prasad. Close, offer dakshina, and distribute the prasad.
This Puja Wants an Acharya
Nine sets of Sanskrit mantras, recited in a prescribed order and count, alongside kalash sthapana and a havan. This is not a ritual most households can perform correctly from a card, and we would rather say so than sell a box on a false promise. Engage a pandit. The kit is the samagri; the vidhi is his.
Because Navgrah Shanti can also be horoscope-specific, your acharya may ask for additions no standard box can anticipate — a particular cloth colour, a dan item, or material tied to one afflicted graha in your chart. Share the item list on this page with him a week before, not the night before.
A Note on What This Kit Does and Does Not Claim
This is ritual samagri, prepared properly and completely. We make no claim that it removes grah dosh, cures any problem, or brings about marriage, wealth, health or any other outcome. Navgrah Shanti is a traditional Vedic practice performed for peace of mind and as part of a family's religious observance. It is not a substitute for medical treatment, financial advice or legal counsel. Any seller promising results should be treated with suspicion.
What You Arrange Fresh
Fresh flowers, and nine-colour flowers where your tradition requires them • Mango leaves • Paan leaves • Fresh coconut • Seasonal fruit • Bananas • Milk • Curd • Honey • Fresh mithai • Panchamrit ingredients • Tulsi where required • Dakshina
Ghee is not included, and a navgrah havan consumes a great deal of it. Arrange sufficient pure ghee locally — it is the one omission most likely to interrupt a havan halfway.
