Naye Karyasthal Ka Shubh Aarambh, Ek Pavitra Sankalp Ke Saath.

Most business openings invoke two deities. An office should invoke three.

Ganesh clears obstacles from the venture. Lakshmi looks after what it earns. But an office is where work happens — decisions, drafts, diagnoses, code, designs, arguments made and cases prepared — and that is Saraswati's domain, not Lakshmi's. A consultancy, a clinic, a studio or an agency lives or dies on the quality of thinking done inside it. The Advik Rituals Office Opening Puja Kit is built around all three, with 62 essentials curated in Kashi.

Why Saraswati Belongs in an Office Puja

This is the difference between this kit and a generic business-opening box, and it is worth a paragraph rather than a bullet.

Lakshmi is invoked for prosperity — the money the business makes. Saraswati is invoked for the work that earns it: clarity, skill, learning, disciplined thought and honest speech. In a shop the transaction is the work. In an office the work is the work, and the transaction follows from it.

That is why this kit carries a Ganesh-Lakshmi-Saraswati picture and a mantra card for all three, and why white puja cloth is included alongside red and yellow — white being Saraswati's colour.

The Workplace Blessing — The Step Nobody Plans For

In a shop you bless the cash box. In an office you bless the tools of the work, and there are more of them than anyone remembers on the morning.

Set these out near the puja area before the sankalp, so nothing has to be fetched mid-ceremony:

Laptop or workstation  •  Company incorporation documents  •  Office keys  •  Business stamp  •  Account book  •  First invoice  •  Employee register  •  Visiting cards  •  POS machine  •  The instruments of your trade — a clinic's first stethoscope, a studio's first camera, a firm's first case file

The included workplace blessing checklist walks through this so nothing is left in a drawer while everyone waits. These are your things, not kit contents — we do not sell them and we would not presume to.

Do It Before the First Day of Work

The puja belongs to the morning before the office starts operating — before the first client meeting, before employees begin at their desks, before the first invoice is raised. Choose a morning muhurat, avoid Amavasya and the Rahu Kaal window for that day, and build the schedule backwards from it.

Akshaya Tritiya, Gudi Padwa, Vijayadashami, Dhanteras and the first day of a financial year are the strongest days in the year. If you are also performing Vastu Shanti on new premises, that comes first and this follows.

The Ceremony Sequence

  1. Workplace preparation. Clean the office. Arrange the puja area at the reception, the entrance, or the north-east corner.
  2. Shuddhikaran. Purify the workplace and the puja area with gangajal, carrying it through every cabin and room.
  3. Sankalp. Read the sankalp card in the company's name, with the founders' names and gotra and the work the office will carry on.
  4. Ganesh puja first, for the removal of obstacles.
  5. Lakshmi puja according to family tradition.
  6. Saraswati puja — for knowledge, clarity, skill and disciplined work.
  7. Kalash sthapana with gangajal, supari and akshat, covered with the kalash cloth.
  8. Workplace tools blessing, working from the checklist.
  9. Navgraha puja where your vidhi includes it, using the grains and navgraha samidha.
  10. Havan with the 200 g samagri, guggal, samidha and navgraha samidha, with ghee arranged locally. Carry the smoke through every cabin.
  11. Shubh-Labh and Swastik placed at the entrance.
  12. Aarti and prasad distributed to the team — then the first day begins.

Office, Startup, Clinic, Agency, Studio or Coworking Desk

The same ritual serves all of them. Quantities here suit a single office floor or a professional practice. For a larger corporate space with a full-team gathering, tell us before ordering and we will advise on a bigger havan.

Around the Opening

An office inauguration sits inside a longer sequence. See the Shop Opening Puja Kit for a retail counter or showroom, built around Ganesh-Lakshmi rather than the three deities, the Vastu Shanti Puja Kit if the premises are new or newly taken over — that puja comes first, the Vyapar Vriddhi Puja Kit for the growth puja you will perform each Diwali afterwards, the Saraswati Puja Kit for Vasant Panchami, which many agencies and studios keep annually.

What This Kit Does Not Claim

This is ritual samagri, prepared properly and completely. We do not claim it guarantees business growth, ensures profits, or removes all business obstacles. An office opening puja is a traditional observance performed for an auspicious beginning and for peace of mind. Any seller promising commercial outcomes should be treated with suspicion.

What You Arrange Fresh

Fresh flowers and garland  •  Mango leaves for the toran  •  Paan leaves  •  Fresh coconut  •  Seasonal fruit  •  Banana  •  Milk  •  Curd  •  Honey  •  Ghee  •  Fresh mithai  •  Panchamrit ingredients  •  Dakshina

Ghee is not included — a havan uses a good deal of it and it is available in every Indian city. Order mithai for more people than you invited; openings draw a crowd.

This kit is built around three deities including Saraswati, adds white puja cloth and a workplace blessing checklist, and is written for knowledge work — offices, clinics, agencies, studios and consultancies. The Shop Opening kit is Ganesh-Lakshmi and built around a retail counter and its Shubh-Labh threshold.

If the premises are newly built or newly taken over, yes — and it comes first. Vastu Shanti pacifies the structure; the office opening puja begins the work inside it. Many businesses perform both on the same morning.

No, and we make no such claim. This is ritual samagri prepared properly and completely. An office opening puja is a traditional observance performed for an auspicious beginning and peace of mind — not a commercial product.

Fresh flowers and garland, mango leaves for the toran, paan leaves, fresh coconut, seasonal fruit, milk, curd, honey, ghee, fresh mithai, panchamrit ingredients and dakshina. Order mithai for more people than you invited.
